Tunearby Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Tunearby helps you find nearby AM and FM radio station frequencies. We built it to respect your privacy: there is no account, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking, and we do not operate a server that stores your data. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with information on your device.

The short version

Location

With your permission, Tunearby reads your device's GPS location to show radio stations near you and, if you enable live tracking, to update that list as you move. This happens entirely on your device: your coordinates are used to query the offline station database installed with the app and are never transmitted to us or to any third party. If you decline location access, the app falls back to a default or a city you choose manually, and continues to work.

Information stored on your device

Your preferences — such as your chosen location or search city, search radius, band and format filters, and appearance (light/dark) — are saved in your device's local app storage so the app remembers them between launches. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Third-party services

Tunearby uses two third-party services to provide specific optional features. We do not send them your identity, and we do not receive any of your data back through a server of our own.

Tapping a station's website link opens that site in your browser; from that point the destination website's own privacy policy applies.

What we do not do

Children

Tunearby is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the revised version at this URL.
