Every U.S. station, from FCC records
The catalog covers every licensed AM and FM broadcast station in the United States, sourced from Federal Communications Commission records. So whether you look up the local frequencies for a city or check which station a frequency belongs to, the answer comes from official licensing data.
Find local stations wherever you land
Tunearby lists the AM and FM stations near you, closest first, and lets you pan the map to any U.S. city to read its local frequencies. Common ways people use it:
- Find the radio stations near you, sorted by distance
- See which station a frequency belongs to, such as 88.1 FM or 1010 AM
- Browse the AM and FM frequencies for a city before a trip
- Check what is playing right now on nearby stations
See what is on air right now
For stations in range, Tunearby shows the program airing at this moment, worked out in each station's own time zone, so it stays correct across a wide radius or a time-zone border. Tell at a glance whether talk, news, sports, or music is on the air nearby.
Free, private, and instant in the browser
The station finder runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly SQLite: the catalog is bundled with the page and queried on your device, so it works instantly with no backend. Nothing you search leaves your browser, so there is nothing to sign up for and no cookies to accept. Deny location access and the map falls back to a default view, so it still works. Native mobile apps are available too.
